The site I went up to was at 45°8'59"N.
I would rate it a 3 on the Bortle scale of darknes
Its located in that black pocket to the South West of the cross is where it is located.

That region of the sky is low in the sky even in July, so you have to find a site that is up on a hill or relatively clear of trees. Notice in this shot [link] I only had a short period before the teapot moved behind the trees.

I can see why they build some observatories in tower. It would really help to be above the trees.
